This week alone I must have heard JLS about a million times via radio or TV, its all a farce.Īnyway, JLS rant s time to get to a matter of genuine importance, R&B (or whats left of it) I guess the million dollar question is whatever did happen to rhythm and its mate blues because what is played out in the mainstream is anything like the original R&B i.e. ![]() As I watched the X-Factor in 2008, (newly named as the Vex-Factor after last years Jedward fest) I was all for 4 guys aiming for their dreams and trying to make it into the music industry but now i can only wish i could have seen what would have been coming. After all, they are the new '4-man boy band' the music industry have been waiting on, or so we are forced to believe. Where have the days of "Rhythm and Blues" actually wandered off to i rhetorically ask myself as another JLS single churns out in the background on the radio as I post. As if we don't already now it, music is currently in dyer straights at the moment, a calamity, possibly a 'musicession' (music's very own recession) and if the term 'Hip-Hop is Dead' springs to mind, well here's a new one for you, R&B is DEAD.
